MEXICO!!!

The weekend before last- 9 of my very best girlfriends took me on a batchlorette cruise of a lifetime! Origionally it was gonna be a suprise- Teri (my maid of honor) went above and beyond and organized an amazing batchlorette weekend. I packed my bags last thurs night and met Lauren and Ellen at Lauren's house at 5:30am to get a ride to the airport. We were OFF! We flew into Long beach where we quickly filled up our bags with waterbottles full of vodka, and snacks, then headed to get drinks at a mexican restaurant on the pier while we waited for the rest of the girls to fly in from all over the country!

We boarded the boat- and started exploring. Soon the rest of the girls had joined us and our weekend begun. We spent the first night chatting, catching up, and playing fun batchlorette games! The next day we were in Ensanada- where we hung out at Pappas and Beer the entire time- playing games, taking tequila shots, and dancing!

The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing by the pool, working on our tans, eating lots of Frozen Yogurt (It was a DREAM-- all you can eat frozen yogurt bar?! what more could I ask for), dancing at the disco, watching a comedy show, and embarrassing myself!

All in all- and amazing weekend- and I am so grateful for all my friends! I am so lucky to have such great friends!!!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Wow- its been a while since I made a post. So much for committing to 1 post a day.. haha

Well alot has been up since the last posting. This weekend was memorial day weekend. Dan and I have moved into our new home- and we spent the weekend fixing up the yard and painting. We have only a few weeks until our company comes from Australia. So far there are 8 Ozzies staying here- so we need to get it read quick!

We SCORED this weekend at a garage sale. We got 3 couches that turn into beds, a new dishwasher (much needed!), 4 wicker chairs for our outdoor BBQ area, some pillows for the couch, 3 lights, and 2 lamps ..and a cool marble cheese cutter! So we are settling in to say the least!

The weather was great this weekend! Yay- I think summer is finally here. We took some friends out on the boat on Sat night, then BBQed down at the Casita. Dan is loving every chance he gets to get out on the wakeboard.

Drizzle F'Shizzle

Sweet- its drizzling again. Thats the thing about Seattle- its not really pooring rain most of the time- its just drizzling... 6 out of 7 days a week. Grrr.. well there are 2 choices- let it get me down- or do like mom said- "take your vitamin D pills, go to a tanning bed, and invest in one of those lights..." She bought us a light for the office- I am assuming one of those UV lights to brighten up a room- and give people the perception that they are actually in a sunny spot.

Well enough negative- there are some good things about today's weather... 1.) Its Friday, and if it was gorgeous and sunny out- I can almost guarantee I would not be sitting here in the office- actually getting work done...2.) I get to wear this super soft comfy red sweater... instead of a tank top that would show off my albino arms... 3.) my car gets a wash

I am greatful

"The time to relax is when you don't have time for it "

The sun is finally out!! It almost feels like summer. I love summertime around here- waking up on the lake to the reflection of the ripples of water on the ceiling and walls of the bedroom. Its gorgeous today. A little on the cold side- but once you get outside it isn't so bad. I took Mylo over to the beach while Dan ran the dogs that we are house sitting for. Mylo has her stitches in so she isn't supposed to be too wild. That's always a trick. She had a nice romp at the park then came home for a dip. Her snapper was out in full force. Sometimes she thinks she's an alligator- and snaps her jaw while barking.... her "talking" has got to stop...

"Laughter is an instant vacation" ~Milton Berle

This weekend I am thinking about going down to LA to visit Ali. She gave me a plane ticket to come visit last winter- and I still havent made it down to see her. Something always seems to come up... This weekend is a little tricky though. Everyone is out of town.. mom and dad are in Palm Springs- which will be so great for them. Its always nice for them to escape together and enjoy some hard earned time to relax, visit with old friends (the Diereckx's, Stories & Backes's are just a few regulars down there..)- and most importantly get some sunshine!

Its spring break around here- meaning that most of the population has retreaded to some sunny destination- Bonnie is hiking the grand canyon, neighbors are in Las Vegas, and the family who we are dog sitting for have gone down to LA to check out colleges.. I remember when I was doing my college search. I visited several colleges in California- Redlands, USD, Loyola Marymount- went do Disneyland and also Arizona to check out the U of A. I cant believe that chapter in my life is done and over already! Time really does fly.

"College is the longest vacation you will ever take."

~ Dan Indante and Karl Marks

So today, I am grateful for the sun and also for vacations. I am happy for everyone who has the chance to escape and take a vacation. Holidays- as they say in Australia- are really what we live for. We all need to take more time off.

On that note- I have a few trips coming up that I am really looking forward to. Starting with Coachella- at the end of April. Dan and I are flying down to visit Teri and Danny in Arizona. They just bought a new house- so we are excited to see it- and then drive with them to Indio Palm Springs for a 3 day music festival. Dan and I haven't been to a music festival in over a year! Wow- can you believe that Dan?? Talk about time flying... (then again it sometimes feels like I have never left home)

In mid May- all (11!) of my closest girlfriends are taking me on a Batchlorette trip of a lifetime! Teri has headed up the girls and together we are going on a Cruise down to Ensanada, Mexico. We leave from LA- and cruise 3 days down to Mexico and back. Ahhh- I cant wait. I don't even wanna think about it- cause I will get too excited!

Then- Dan and his boys head down to LA- where they will all meet up and RV over to Las Vegas for a Wild and Crazy bachelor ("Bucks") weekend. I don't even wanna know what they have planned-- all I need to know is that they will have the time of their lives... I can guarantee no one on that trip will ever forget that experience.

Then... the Wedding! Although we arnt going anywhere- we will be busy busy and we cant wait to show all of our friends and family our new life on Mercer Island. From 4th of July- to bon fires at the Casita- we will have an unbelievable weekend! We still need to figure out boats for 4th of July. Maybe we should start rounding some up...

I will write when I get back from taking this bucking Bronco out for a romp.....

Snow in Spring?

— Robin Williams

Spring is here!? ...it SNOWED over the weekend-- ALOT! Enough to stick... ugh... stupid groundhog- didnt he see his shadow?

My Inspiration

I am inspired by this chocolate covered ball of fur- Mylo is her name, although she has about a hundred nick names... She is our vibrant ray of sunshine in this otherwise cloudy city called Seattle. She just got spayed over the weekend- and they told us not to exercise her or take her to the dog park... uh oh! This is gonna be difficult. she has already chewed ALL 3 of my work shoes-- now I am down to NONE... Haviannas and Ugg boots are my 2 choices now..neither seem appropriate for work.

I have decided that I have something important to say at least every day... even if its just posting a picture..with a comment. I think this will help me track my purpose and passion and also have a little fun sharing my thoughts and pictures with anyone who cares to be included. Feel free to post a comment! I would love to hear from you!
